Ahead of Chester vs Salford for the 2024 edition of Varsity, I headed to a rehearsal of the Salford University Dance Society (SUDS).
Although SUDS were not competing at Varsity, they gave several performances throughout the event in between fixtures.
This was my first attempt at a TV package under timed conditions, as I filmed on Tuesday night and had completed the package ready for broadcast by the Wednesday afternoon.
I have recently completed a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Salford.
I have over four years of experience in sports broadcasting and have previously worked as a lead journalist for a Manchester-based magazine.
I am an NCTJ-qualified journalist, and have passed modules including Essential Media Law, Public Affairs, Sports Journalism and Shorthand 80wpm. I am also skilled with Adobe Premier Pro and Audition.
