Yesterday I had my first taste of producing a news programme for Quays News at the The University of Salford.

The programme was the culmination of a week of extremely hard work by all involved and I was really proud of the final broadcast. We had some really strong features and crammed a lot in to a 15 minute show.

There was a little bit of stress just before we went live but fortunately good prior planning and organisation meant it was all under control!

Meet the Author

I have recently completed a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Salford.

I have over four years of experience in sports broadcasting and have previously worked as a lead journalist for a Manchester-based magazine.

I am an NCTJ-qualified journalist, and have passed modules including Essential Media Law, Public Affairs, Sports Journalism and Shorthand 80wpm. I am also skilled with Adobe Premier Pro and Audition.
