Listen: Salford Council approves controversial new social housing

On my second television News Day for Quays News, I featured in a two-way interview in the studio with presenters Christian Allen and Tracey Khumalo during our 5pm broadcast.

I interviewed two councillors from Salford Council who had disagreed in a divisive vote over a controversial planning application for social housing in the city.

In this recording, my feature runs from 03:50 to 06:13 and includes discussion and excerpts from the two interviews I conducted.

Meet the Author

I have recently completed a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Salford.

I have over four years of experience in sports broadcasting and have previously worked as a lead journalist for a Manchester-based magazine.

I am an NCTJ-qualified journalist, and have passed modules including Essential Media Law, Public Affairs, Sports Journalism and Shorthand 80wpm. I am also skilled with Adobe Premier Pro and Audition.
