On 24th January 2024, I presented the Quays News radio show. Each week our Broadcast Journalism cohort produces a news story for television or radio and the nominated producer for the week organises all of our individual packages into a show.
My own package, which discussed Manchester’s inclusion in the New York Times’ top travel destinations for 2024, can be heard from 10:34-11:52. This was my first attempt at producing an original piece of audio on Adobe Audition.
I have recently completed a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Salford.
I have over four years of experience in sports broadcasting and have previously worked as a lead journalist for a Manchester-based magazine.
I am an NCTJ-qualified journalist, and have passed modules including Essential Media Law, Public Affairs, Sports Journalism and Shorthand 80wpm. I am also skilled with Adobe Premier Pro and Audition.
